Hello! I am the sun. I am a star and I am very big. I give out lots of heat and light. My warmth and my light keeps plants and animals on Earth alive.
In the morning, you will see me in the sky. This is called sunrise. By lunchtime, I will be directly above you. In the late afternoon, I will be lower in the sky. And in the evening, I will have disappeared (also known as sunset). After I’m gone, it will be night time.
Be careful and never look directly at me. Your eyes would get hurt beause the light from me is very strong.
Fun fact: I am so huge that I can fit one million earths inside me!
